Dinner at the Comic Strip Museum
I spent the day in TACD internal meetings, getting ready for our encounter with government officials at the official TACD meeting tomorrow -- I also spent a fair amount of time digesting today's important Second Circuit ruling on the hot news doctrine, about which I hope to blog soon. We got together in the evening for a dinner at the Comic Strip Museum sponsored by BEUC, the EU umbrella consumer group. The building itself is of interest because it is a former warehouse was designed by Victor Horta, Belgium's leading art-nouveau architect. We enjoyed browsing through the exhibits, including some displays of advertising featuring Tin Tin characters. Note for example the parade of characters advertising a line of blue jeans, or a drawing for a car and other prizes. A nice enough dinner, but again no interesting beers!
