An Open Letter to Bill O'Reilly

The New York Times reports this morning that when it contacted Bill O’Reilly in the course of its coverage of the David Corn reportage on his exaggeration of his exposure to danger in "a war zone in Argentina, in the Falklands," he said “there would be repercussions if he felt any of the reporter’s coverage was inappropriate. ‘I am coming after you with everything I have,’ Mr. O’Reilly said. ‘You can take it as a threat.’”

I have already said to many of my friends that I have read the back and forth between David Corn and O’Reilly, and it is apparent that he lied in various of his claims about his work from Buenos Aires during the Falklands War (apologies to my Argentine friends for not calling them the Malvinas).  But I’ll say it again right here.  Corn's analysis of O'Reilly's blowhard comments rings true.  O'Reilly lied.

Sue me, Bill!
